OUR STORY

So, where do we start? If you are invited to our wedding then the likelihood is you know all about Jo and David, therefore we won’t bore you with how we met or about our first date. I mean, do you really want to know where we’ve been, what we’ve done and who said what?

Probably not, and let’s be honest, if we tell you all now, then they’ll be nothing left for the speeches on our wedding day! We'll fill you in on a little about our family and how David proposed.

We purchased our first home and moved in together a week before Christmas back in 2019, along with Jo’s daughter Areya.

Over the years our beautiful family has grown. We are parents to 3 amazing children, Areya who is 10, Asher who is 4 and Ace who will shortly turn 2. Then of course we can’t forget Max, the craziest and probably the most fittest dog in Blunham!

In January of 2020 only a couple of weeks after moving in to our home in Blunham, Jo discovered she had fallen pregnant very unexpectedly. Shocked, but excited, we just about managed to wrap our heads around the idea of our family starting to grow. But, unfortunately after a few months we lost our baby. This was one of the first heartbreaking and real challenges we faced as a couple.

Once time had past we had discussed moving forward after our loss and growing our family, we both have two siblings so knew we wanted to be a family of 5. Areya always asked if she could have a sibling, we think she thought we could waltz down to Tesco and buy one. The excitement on Areya's face was so heartwarming when she found out that she was going to be a big sister to Asher who arrived in 2021. Our beautiful rainbow baby, we say "rainbow baby", as some believe that a rainbow appears after a storm, or after a dark time, something so beautiful and hopeful after a period of loss or grief. January 2021 we were so happy as we became a family of 4,

April 2022, we found out we were expecting again, this was our family of 5 that we had hoped for. But, a month later we discovered we had lost a second baby, our hearts were completely broken, It's strange, from the day you find out you are expecting you instantly fall in love with someone you have never seen. Our baby was just not meant for this world.

Some months had passed and our prayers were answered.
Jo was pregnant with our gorgeous baby Ace, our second rainbow baby.
We are so lucky to be parents of one beautiful daughter, and two gorgeous rainbow baby boys.

Summer 2023....

David proposed to Jo in the summer of 2023, a day that neither would ever forget. Jo had been in hospital for a while due to complications on the lead up to the birth of baby Ace, which was incredibly stressful, Jo had paced the ward hundreds of times to try and help Ace get on the move but he was extremely stubborn.
Then finally, early morning on Monday 7th August 2023 our third child, Acey Baby made his way into the world.

Once all the craziness had passed and the calm was setting in, this was when David built up the courage with baby Ace in his arms and asked Jo to be his wife, the most perfect way on the most beautiful day to complete our family.

Now we are here, Summer 2025 and so excited and looking forward to sharing our wedding day with you all.
